How Self-Talk Impacts Your Body’s Ability To Lose Weight

When you look in the mirror, do you say, “I love you! This is amazing! This is exactly the body that I intended to create!” If you are doing that, you are using the language of a destination. You are communicating to your body that it is exactly what you wanted (even if it isn’t YET!). You are holding yourself in the vision of perfection. These messages tell the subconscious mind that it’s already true, so it can behave that way! 

 

→ I love you.

 

→ I appreciate you.

 

→ You are strong.

 

→ You are toned.

 

→ You are beautiful.

 

→ You have energy.

 

→ You have focus.

 

→ Everything about who you are is what I want.

 

→ Everything about who you are is what I intended to create.

 

Your subconscious mind makes decisions for you all day long…what to eat, what to drink, whether to workout…based on the alignment of where you see yourself. If you give yourself a message in opposition to what you want, then your brain says, “THAT is who I am.” An unhealthy body makes unhealthy choices. You can tell yourself stuff that keeps you stuck, like “no matter what I do, I can’t lose weight.” Guess what? You are right! Your mind tells your body how to behave and what to do. 

 

If you want to tell yourself the BEST story, it’s a destination story!

“I’m a person who makes healthy choices.”

 

“I’m a person who makes healthy commitments.”

 

“I’m a person who does what she says she’ll do.”

 

“I’m a person who loves living in this body.”

 

“I’m a person who feels appreciation and power for who I am!”

 

The words you speak are giving your body instructions on how to behave and how to show up for you. The easiest thing you can do to convert your body into the body you’ve always dreamed of is to love it, appreciate it, and hold the vision of exactly the conditions you intend to live in.
